Ways to Help: Volunteering and Friends of the Senior Center


Do you have time or talent you could share? Volunteers are a key component of the success of our center. Volunteers work at the front desk as center receptionists, teach classes, lead programs, provide computer tutoring services and much more. To learn how you can help, please call us at 707-431-3324!

Friends of the Senior Center

You might also consider becoming a "Friend of the Senior Center" by joining the Healdsburg Senior Center Volunteers, Inc., a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to enhancing the programs of the senior center and making them available to all senior residents of Healdsburg regardless of financial means. This wonderful organization is looking for new volunteers as well as volunteers to join their Board of Directors and to help them with their many programs which include:
  • Hosting social events
    • Ice Cream Social
    • Holiday parties
    • Annual Mother's Day Tea & Father's Day Lunch
    • Support of Annual Senior Appreciation Dinner
    • Annual Christmas Basket  program for homebound seniors
  • Activity Assistance Program which provides financial assistance with Senior Center program fees for eligible senior residents
  • Implementing the bingo program
  • Managing the Senior Center Boutique

Senior Center Boutique
Tucked inside the Center is a small consignment boutique featuring a wonderful assortment of hand crafted items created by local Consignors.  Stop by the Boutique to see our newest arrivals which include:  Woodcrafts, Baby gifts including blankets, bibs, booties etc... Books written by Local Authors, Handcrafted Re-Useable Tote Bags and a large selection of gently worn jewelry.  

New consignors are always welcome. Please contact us for more information. Boutique proceeds support the Rose Pavoni Activity Assistance Program for seniors with limited finances as well as benefiting the Senior Center programs and services.
