HEALSDBURG, Calif. -- The City of Healdsburg is launching a community survey to gather resident opinions on City services and programs and topics that pertain to quality of life, including tourism/hospitality, traffic, and housing. The survey, which is composed of 25 questions, is one of the first to comprehensively gauge resident sentiment on an array of key topics to Healdsburg.
This document is a key tool in helping City officials and City Council draft a more inclusive and well-informed five-year strategic plan that maps out the future of Healdsburg. The current strategic plan, “Pathway to Sustainability,” ends in 2019.
The survey will be conducted by Fairbank, Maslin, Maullin, Metz & Associates (FM3), an Oakland-based consulting firm that has 36 years of experience in conducting public policy-oriented opinion research. The firm earlier conducted research on a half-cent sales tax (Measure V) and on updating the City’s Growth Management Ordinance (Measure R).
Starting next week, a random sampling of Healdsburg residents will receive an email and postcard notifying them that they’ve been chosen to take the survey, which can be taken either by telephone or online. The survey will also be available in Spanish.
After FM3 gathers and analyzes the completed surveys, the firm will present the results at a City Council meeting this spring.
