Public art creates a unique sense of place and a strong civic identity for the City of Healdsburg. The City endorses the placement of Artwork in Public Places. Therefore, it is important that procedures and policies be established and implemented for the process to acquire and select Artwork in the City. The purpose of the Public Art Policy is to provide guidelines for Public Artwork, including: 1. Procedures to Review Offers of Donations and Maintenance 2. Criteria for Artwork Selection, Location, and Site Selection 3. Artistic Freedom of Expression and Non-Discrimination
