WELCOME FROM THE INTERIM CHIEF STEVEN ADAMS

Thank you for visiting the website for the Healdsburg Fire Department. For more than 150 years, our Department has consistently met the challenges of providing a wide spectrum of fire services to our community.

The dedicated staff at the Healdsburg Fire Department includes a combination of paid and reserve fire service personnel. These individuals carry out our mission by working individually and collectively to make Healdsburg a safer place to live, work and visit. We consider it a privilege to serve our community, both its residents and visitors, with the highest level of public serviceby protecting and preserving life, environment, and property in a safe and efficient manner. Our organization is comprised of 10 paid personnel and 26 Reserve Firefighters, providing emergency services to the City of Healdsburg, including the areas of Fitch Mountain and the lower Dry Creek Valley.

As a department, we must do more than simply respond when called; we must also do all we can to prevent fires and be trained and prepared for every emergency. Our firefighters train consistently to maintain the highest and most current level of equipment and fire safety standards. We currently operate out of one fire station and have in service two type one fire engines, one ladder truck, one type one/water tender, one type three engine and one water tender funded through our contract with the Sonoma County Fire and Emergency Services Department.
