Public Works Week
This past week the City Council recognized Public Works Week. Staff in our Public Works and Utilities Departments work hard to maintain the safety of City infrastructure including water systems, wastewater collection and treatment, stormwater management, streets and traffic signals, and capital projects. The City Council recognizes their high standards and work ethic in maintaining the facilities and core services that play pivotal roles in the health, safety, and quality of life of Healdsburg residents. A proclamation was issued by the City Council to acknowledge staff who consistently demonstrate their pride in public service every time they respond to a broken water line, plugged sewer, flooded street, faulty signal, reviewing a development permit, or building the next segment of the Foss Creek Pathway.

New Police Tool For Community Feedback
Starting in June, residents of Healdsburg will be some of the first in the state to use a new community engagement and feedback solution after an interaction with the Healdsburg Police Department. This new service uses text messaging to contact some 9-1-1 callers and others that have recently reported or been involved in non-life-threatening incidents. Text messages will be sent hours or days after an incident and will request that citizens take a quick survey about their experience. It is important for our City Police Department to hear from the community about how we are doing. This new product, called CueHit, will provide access to citizen feedback in near real-time and provide insights into areas where we can improve. With CueHit, text message surveys are sent to those whose number is recorded as part of a call for service or an officer’s report. Residents that do not want to participate may reply with STOP and that will opt them out of all future text surveys from the department. The surveys will not be used to report any type of emergency or crime. Please call 9-1-1 for any emergency or to report criminal activity.

Please refer to the map for the worksite location and use caution when navigating through the area during the mentioned dates.
