The primary function of the Senior Citizens Advisory Commission is to serve as an advocate for Healdsburg’s older adult residents by:- Identifying the needs of Healdsburg senior residents
- Advising the City Council, City boards, commissions, and departments, as well as private agencies on matters related to those needs
- Creating / increasing awareness of those needs among the broader population

City Council established the Commission by Resolution 2007-50 and amended the Commission by Resolution 2013-21.
Goals and Committee Assignments
In the first quarter of each year the Commission adopts a set of goals it would like to accomplish for the upcoming year. It also establishes ad hoc committees to work on focus areas. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Commission did not establish new goals for 2020. The Commission's 2019 goals and committee assignments can be found here. Meetings
The Senior Citizens Advisory Commission typically meets the 4th Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 401 Grove Street, Healdsburg, CA 95448. Regular meeting agendas, time/date changes, and special meetings will be posted here.
