COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Older Adult and Senior Services Response Plan

The City’s Community Services Department has developed multiple programs to ensure our seniors and older adults are connected and have the essential nutrition and transportation they need throughout this time. For more information, please visit www.cityofhealdsburg.org/covid19, email senior@cityofhealdsburg.org, or call 707-431-3324.

Combating Isolation and Depression during COVID-19

Isolation at any age is difficult on the mind, body, and soul. For older adults, isolation can lead to depression, cognitive decline, create an increased fall risk, and raise other health concerns. To battle isolation and depression, the Senior Center will provide opportunities for older adults to safely exercise and engage with neighbors to maintain important human connections. Modified special events such at outdoor social gatherings and exercise classes and indoor masked low impact activities such as Bingo, Cards, and Conversation groups provide opportunities for seniors to battle isolation.
