On September 5, 2023, the Healdsburg City Council adopted a Resolution establishing a Special Performance Permit Policy for the Healdsburg Plaza to strike a harmonious balance between public entertainment and tranquility in this public space. Under this program, performers of all disciplines, including music, theater, and dance, have the opportunity to schedule their performances in the Plaza.
Application - Applicants can conveniently apply using this online form or apply in-person at the Abel De Luna Community Center (1557 Healdsburg Ave.). Applications must be submitted at least two weeks in advance and no more than two months of the requested performance date. Community Services Staff will process applications and issue permits on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no fees associated with this program.
The program went into effect on Monday, September 18, 2023. Please contact Healdsburg Community Services with questions.
• A Special Performance Permit is required for all performances in the Plaza.
• Performances may occur daily between 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with a permit
• Special Performance Permits will be limited to:
o One performance in the Plaza per day
o Up to one hour of performance time
o One permit every seven days for each performer
• The sound level generated shall be inaudible at a distance of 100’ and may not disrupt local businesses.
• Performances are limited to the area directly underneath the Plaza gazebo.
